We are now looking for a Bid/Business Development Manager to join our high-performing and ambitious team.
As a Bid/Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in the company's business development team by creating compelling, persuasive, and successful proposals to secure new contracts. You will collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including the sales, marketing, and operations teams, to produce high-quality written content that meets the specific needs of independent education and B&I sectors.
Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end bid writing process, from initial proposal drafting to final submissions.
Engage with clients and industry consultants directly to understand their specific needs and requirements in order to produce tailored offers.
Take part in client meetings.
Ensure all bid responses meet regulatory, legal, and company standards and client specifications.
Develop and produce high-scoring, tailored bid responses for tenders.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, marketing and operations to gather relevant content and ensure proposals are aligned with client needs and company strengths.
Edit, proofread, and review all bid documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and professionalism.
Manage the bid submission process, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Track the success of bids, provide feedback for continuous improvement, and analyse reasons for bid outcomes.
Identify and assess risks within the bid, proposing migration strategies to ensure bid success.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Bid or Business Development Manager, ideally within contract catering, hospitality or service sectors
Strong understanding of the independent education and B&I sectors, with the ability to tailor proposals to these audiences.
Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and persuasive content.
High attention to detail and excellent editing and proofreading skills.
Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
This is full-time, permanent position.
Working pattern: Monday - Friday
Location: Remote (Work from home with client visits when required)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000/annum DOE
