Job Introduction

We are currently looking for a Cook to join our team. Please read on to see details of this position.

  • 20 hours per week term-time only
  • 33 weeks per year based around term time + Holiday entitlement
  • £16.00 per hour

Within this role, your key focus will be delivering the highest quality of food and service for our pupils.

Role Responsibility

  • Preparation of the menu, using the recipes provided
  • Food ordering and stock taking
  • Food Hygiene, Allergen and Health and Safety compliance
  • Production of Hospitality as per client requests
  • Supervision of the team
  • Building relationships with client and customers
  • Friendly and polite customer service

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of working as chef using fresh ingredients, with excellent craft skills
  • Food hygiene level 2 & 3 (further training will be available)
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Basic financial understand of gross profit management
  • Computer literate
  • Experience of working with in schools preferred
  • Self-motivated, using your own initiative, desire to learn and achieve.
  • Ability to motivate others

Cook – Wychwood School, Oxford

We are looking for the perfect candidate to take on the coveted position of Cook at one of our prestigious independent boarding schools, Wychwood School in Oxford.

Wychwood School is an independent boarding school for 124 girls aged 11 to 18, situated in Oxford. Founded in 1897, Wychwood has a long and rich history of educating girls.  From the beginning, their founders had a clear vision of what a small girl’s school should be and what Wychwood girls can achieve.  With a history spanning over 120 years the school are becoming a co-educational school from September 2023. With such a vast history and bright future we are recruiting for a Cook who can become engrained within the culture of the school and grow the food provision.
